Internal Medicine
Internal medicine is a primary care specialty that is focused on adults 18 years of age and older. The internal medicine team at Mat-Su Medical Group works to prevent disease and to diagnose, treat and/or manage everything from simple conditions to more complex combinations of diseases. Their approach to your well-being makes them your primary health care manager.
At times, your internist may refer you to another specialist (such as an orthopedic surgeon, general surgeon or cardiologist, for instance) for more focused care. Your specialists will all communicate with your Mat-Su Medical Group internist who will manage the “big picture” of your care.
