Theresa Hall, MSN, R.N., AG-ACNP-BC, started her career in healthcare right after high school in rural Kentucky. Her first 10 years were on the cardiac stepdown unit, which allowed her to see firsthand the growth and development of catheter-based intervention. This treatment is now used on a daily basis with cardiac stents. She then transitioned to a cardiology office, where she learned so much from a wonderful cardiologist who was committed to staying at the cutting edge of medicine. During this time she was able to help with multiple research studies involving stents and pacemakers. After 17 years of nursing, she decided to go back to school to become a nurse practitioner. This move was motivated by her desire for more meaningful patient interactions. She also had the rewarding opportunity to teach in the nursing program at the local community college where she began her nursing education, making the experience even more fulfilling. Once she graduated, and with her children preparing to embark on their own college adventures, she sought to expand her horizons. In 2018, she embraced the opportunity to practice at a higher level in a field she is passionate about, while also enjoying the adventures that the Mat-Su Valley has to offer.
Hall's husband works through the DOD on base and both of her children have chosen to join them in this beautiful state of Alaska. She loves spending her free time hiking, fishing and camping. She has completed the Crow Pass and Resurrection Pass trails, and she hopes to tackle the Kesugi Ridge Trail soon. The family has enjoyed fishing for all five species of salmon and even a few halibut; however, grayling fishing remains her favorite. She loves getting to know her patients personally so that she can tailor their care to help them maintain their passions and enjoy the activities they love most.
